About this item
Pour-over looks fussy, but it needs only four things, and this box has all of them. We chose each part because it is what we use ourselves, and the coffee is the one we pour for people trying filter coffee for the first time: Ethiopia Guji Natural, which tastes of blueberry and cocoa and is hard to get wrong.
The coffee comes ground for filter, so you do not need a grinder to start. When you are ready for one, the Ridgeline Hand Grinder is the next step.
What is in the box
- Cone dripper 02 by Koppie Works, glazed ceramic in cream
- Paper filters 02, a box of 100
- Brew scale with timer, reading to 0.1 g, with a silicone mat and a USB-C cable
- Ethiopia Guji Natural, 250 g, ground for filter (light roast, 2 of 5)
Your first brew
- Put the dripper on a mug, fold a filter into it and rinse it with hot water. Pour that water away.
- Put the mug and dripper on the scale, add 15 g of coffee and tare.
- Start the timer. Pour 40 g of water just off the boil and wait 40 seconds.
- Pour slowly in circles until the scale reads 240 g.
- Let it drain. It takes about 3 minutes.
The 250 g bag makes about 16 cups at this recipe. We pack the kit in one box, so it ships as a single parcel.
