Ridgeline Electric Burr Grinder

If you brew every day, an electric grinder saves time and gives the same grind every time. Ridgeline's flat-burr grinder is the one we use beside the espresso machine in our café training room.

• Burrs: 54 mm stainless steel flat burrs
• Settings: 40 steps, from espresso to plunger, on a turning collar
• Dosing: a timer in tenths of a second, with a start button for manual grinding
• Hopper: holds about 250 g of whole beans
• Output: a steel grounds cup, and a holder that takes a 58 mm or 51 mm portafilter
• Power: 230 V, 200 W, with a South African three-pin plug
• Materials: aluminium and steel body, finished in charcoal

Where to set it

• Espresso: steps 1 to 10
• Moka pot and pour-over: steps 15 to 25
• Plunger and cold brew: steps 30 to 40

Start in the middle of each range and adjust by taste. Ayesha, who runs our café training, says to change one step at a time.

It is a heavy parcel, and it is packed in its own carton with moulded inserts.
