Barista syrups 750 ml

A little syrup turns a latte into a treat. We keep these on the bar at the roastery for the Saturday crowd, and people kept asking where to buy them. Each one is made in South Africa from cane sugar, water and natural flavourings, with no colourants.

The Rooibos and honey is our own idea: rooibos tea and honey, cooked down to a syrup. It is warm and a little earthy, and it is very good in a cappuccino.

The flavours

• Vanilla: sweet and round, like vanilla custard
• Caramel: dark, cooked sugar with a pinch of salt
• Hazelnut: toasted nut, for a mocha or a flat white
• Rooibos and honey: rooibos tea and honey, warm and earthy
• Sugar-free vanilla: vanilla sweetened with sucralose instead of sugar

Details

• Size: 750 ml glass bottle with a screw cap
• Per drink: 10 ml (two teaspoons); about 75 drinks a bottle
• Ingredients: cane sugar, water, natural flavourings, citric acid (the Sugar-free vanilla uses sucralose in place of sugar)
• Storage: keep it at room temperature, out of the sun; once open, use it within 3 months

How we use it

Measure 10 ml into the cup, pull the shot onto the syrup and stir, then add the milk.
