Cold brew concentrate 1 L

Cold brew is coffee made slowly, without heat. Coarse-ground coffee steeps in cold, filtered water for 18 hours, then we filter it twice and bottle it. The result is smooth and low in bitterness, with the chocolate and caramel of our Koppie House Blend and very little acidity.

We do not keep a shelf of it. We brew each batch to order, so your bottle is days old, not weeks. That is why it ships within five working days of your order, a little slower than our bags of coffee.

The flavours

• Original: Koppie House Blend and water. Milk chocolate, caramel, a little hazelnut.
• Vanilla: the Original with a little of our vanilla syrup stirred in after brewing.

Details

• Size: 1 L glass bottle with a screw cap
• Makes: about eight 250 ml glasses at 1 part concentrate to 2 parts water or milk
• Ingredients: coffee and filtered water (the Vanilla adds cane sugar and natural vanilla flavouring)
• Storage: keep it in the fridge as soon as it arrives; once open, use it within 14 days

How we drink it

Fill a glass with ice. Pour 80 ml of concentrate and 160 ml of cold milk or water. Stir and taste; add more concentrate if you like it stronger. On a hot day, try it with tonic water and a slice of orange.
