About this item
Coffee tastes better outside, and it should not need a lot of gear. This set has what we pack for a weekend in the Magaliesberg: a plunger big enough for four mugs, two enamel mugs that do not mind a fall onto rock, and a bag of our darkest roast, already ground coarse for the plunger.
What is in the box
- Enamel Camp Mug 350 ml by Koppie Works, in rust, two of them
- French press, 1 L, borosilicate glass in a stainless steel frame
- Sundowner Dark Roast, 500 g, ground for plunger: dark cocoa, molasses, toasted almond (dark, 5 of 5)
At the campsite
- Boil the kettle and let it stand for a minute off the fire.
- Put 60 g of coffee in the press (about six heaped tablespoons) and add 1 litre of water.
- Stir once, put the lid on and wait 4 minutes.
- Press slowly and pour it all out, into the mugs or a flask.
Care
The mugs are enamel on steel: hand wash them and keep them out of the microwave. The press glass takes boiling water but not a sudden chill, so let it cool before you rinse it in a cold stream.
We pack the set in one box, with the press wrapped in card, so it ships as a single parcel.
