About this item

The fastest way to learn what you like in coffee is to taste two or three side by side. This box gives you four, from light and fruity to our everyday blend, so you can taste how origin, process and roast change the cup.

Every bag is whole bean, so whoever opens the box needs a grinder. If they do not have one yet, our Brew Starter Kit comes with coffee already ground.

What is in the box

  • Ethiopia Guji Natural, 250 g: blueberry, strawberry jam, cocoa (light, 2 of 5)
  • Kenya Nyeri AA, 250 g: blackcurrant, pink grapefruit, brown sugar (light, 2 of 5)
  • Colombia Huila Pink Bourbon, 250 g: red grape, grapefruit, cane sugar (medium, 3 of 5)
  • Koppie House Blend, 250 g: milk chocolate, hazelnut, caramel (medium, 3 of 5)

How to taste them

  1. Brew each coffee the same way, with the same recipe: 15 g of coffee to 240 g of water in a cone dripper or a plunger.
  2. Taste them one after the other, hot and again as they cool.
  3. Note what you taste in plain words: fruit, chocolate, nuts, sweet, sharp.

Most people find a favourite in the first round. Ours changes every week.

We pack all four in one box with a printed tasting card.
