Visit the roastery
Our roastery is a converted farm shed at the foot of the Magaliesberg, about an hour's drive west of Johannesburg. You are welcome to visit: buy coffee by the bag, see the roaster and, on most Saturdays, join a cupping.
Opening times
- Monday to Friday: 08:00 to 16:00
- Saturday: 08:00 to 13:00
- Sunday and public holidays: closed
We roast on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. On those days the roaster is running and the shed is warm and loud; you are welcome to watch from the counter.
Saturday cuppings
Most Saturdays at 09:30, Thandi or Ayesha leads a cupping of four coffees from the week's roasts. A cupping is how roasters taste coffee side by side: we grind each one, pour water over it, break the crust, and taste with a spoon. You need no experience. It takes about an hour, and we explain each step as we go.

- Book by mail to hello@klipspringercoffee.co.za, with the Saturday you want and how many of you are coming.
- We confirm each booking by mail. If a Saturday is full, we offer the next one.

The map on this page shows the turn-off from the main road. The last 800 m is a gravel road, fine for any car in dry weather. There is parking beside the shed.
Collecting an order
Collection of online orders at the roastery is coming soon. Until then, every online order is delivered by courier.
Before you come
The shed has steps at the door and a gravel yard. If you need a hand getting in, tell us when you book and we will meet you at the car.
