Cold brew bottle 1 L

Cold brew is coffee made with time instead of heat. It comes out smooth and low in bitterness, and it keeps in the fridge for up to a week. This bottle makes it simple: the grounds sit in a mesh filter inside, and when the time is up you lift the filter out.

• Capacity: 1 L
• Filter: a fine stainless steel mesh cylinder, held from the lid
• Materials: borosilicate glass bottle; stainless steel filter; a silicone grip band and a lid with a pouring spout
• Dimensions: about 29 cm tall and 9 cm across, so it fits in most fridge doors
• In the box: the bottle, the filter and the lid
• Care: the bottle and filter go in the dishwasher; brush the mesh under running water after each batch so it does not clog

How we brew it

1. Grind 80 g of coffee coarsely, like for a plunger.
2. Put it in the filter and fit the filter into the bottle.
3. Fill slowly with 900 ml of cold, filtered water, letting it soak through the grounds.
4. Close it and leave it in the fridge for 16 to 18 hours.
5. Lift out the filter and let it drain, then pour.

Drink it over ice, or with milk. Our Brazil Cerrado Natural is a good one to start with: it gives chocolate and nuts, and very little sharpness.
