Glass carafe 600 ml

Brew for two, and you need somewhere to brew into. This carafe takes a cone dripper 02 on top and holds 600 ml, enough for two good mugs. It is clear, so you can watch the coffee arrive, and it pours cleanly from a narrow lip.

• Capacity: 600 ml
• Materials: heat-resistant borosilicate glass; an oiled wooden collar with a cotton cord
• Dimensions: about 17 cm tall and 10 cm across at the widest; the neck is 7.5 cm across, so a cone dripper 02 sits on top
• In the box: the carafe with the collar and cord fitted
• Care: untie the cord and take the collar off, then wash the glass by hand or in the dishwasher. Wipe the collar with a damp cloth and rub in a drop of cooking oil now and then.

How we use it

1. Set the cone dripper 02 on the carafe and rinse a filter through it, then pour the rinse water out.
2. Brew 30 g of coffee with 500 g of water at 94 °C.
3. Lift the dripper off and swirl the carafe once before you pour.

The glass takes hot water straight from the kettle, but not a sudden chill. Let it cool before you rinse it under the cold tap, and do not put it on a stove plate.
