From R 465.00 VAT included
A stovetop moka pot from Ridgeline, in cast aluminium, in a 3-cup or 6-cup size. It makes a short, strong coffee on a gas flame or an electric plate. It does not work on an induction hob by itself: you need an induction adapter plate under it. Fill, heat gently, and take it off the heat when it starts to gurgle.

About this product
The moka pot makes a short, strong coffee from steam pressure, on any stove. This one is from Ridgeline: a cast aluminium body with an eight-sided shape that spreads the heat, a steel funnel and a heat-resistant handle.
Details
- Sizes: 3-cup (about 150 ml of coffee) or 6-cup (about 300 ml); a "cup" is a small espresso cup
- Materials: cast aluminium body; stainless steel funnel and filter plate; silicone gasket; heat-resistant handle
- Dimensions: the 3-cup is about 16 cm tall; the 6-cup is about 21 cm tall
- Stoves: gas and electric plates, and a camp stove on a low flame. It does not work on induction by itself. On an induction hob, use an induction adapter plate under the pot.
- In the box: the pot, with the funnel and gasket fitted
- Care: rinse with hot water only and dry it apart; no dishwasher and no soap, which dulls the aluminium. Replace the gasket when it hardens.
How we brew it
- Fill the base with hot water up to the line below the valve.
- Fill the funnel with coffee ground a little coarser than for espresso. Level it; do not press it down.
- Screw the pot together, holding the base with a cloth.
- Heat it on a low to medium flame, lid open.
- When the coffee runs pale and the pot gurgles, take it off the heat and pour.
Our Daybreak Espresso, ground for espresso, is a good start.
